🎉 Big win at the SkillsUSA Digital Arts Southwest Technical Contest at WSUV! 🎉

First Place went to Andrew Stinton and Kayden Curtis from Discovery High School in Camas.

Andrew was a Cascadia Tech Summer school student with instructor Nathan Younger and teacher at Heritage High School. They do not offer 3D as a course at Discovery, but Nathan continued to help their advisor/educator with support and lessons for independent study. Andrew said because of our Summer school program he wants to go into the industry and has been doing it independently at his high school and home using our lessons. The 2nd and 3rd place winners are students from Heritage.

The contest was run by Sorochan Vann, teacher at Evergreen High School, also a Summer School instructor.

Nathan's ultimate goal for our Summer School program and future, because we are now seeing the summer school kids compete and now, we are getting the level skills needed to win at State. 🏆✨

These results show how Cascadia Tech Academy’s Summer School program is a true stepping stone toward building strong relationships with sending high schools by offering more CTE experiences for students.
