Camila from Teaching Academy North is already making an impact! In just 3 days in her internship classroom, she’s been able to interpret for a Spanish-speaking student, and her mentor has already noticed a boost in engagement. Before Camila stepped in, the student struggled to understand. Now? A whole new level of connection and learning. 💙📚
Last Thursday, Director Joan Huston accompanied four students, one from each program in the 100 Building, on a visit to the Capitol in Olympia. During the trip, the students met with legislators to share the urgent need for a new 100 Building. They had the opportunity to speak with Representative Monica Stonier (49th District), Representative Stephanie McClintock (18th District), and Representative Peter Abbarno (20th District).
The students representing their programs were: Jocelyn Cole, Criminal Justice; Kylee Clarke-Henerson, Diesel Technology; Lex Quayle, Automotive Technology; and Tony Robbins, Construction Technology.
